Wash your ski jacket in cold water on gentle cycle using technical outerwear detergent—avoid regular detergent, fabric softener, and bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry.
The DWR coating diminishes naturally with use. When you notice water soaking into the fabric instead of beading off, apply a wash-in or spray-on DWR treatment following the product instructions. Heat-activate the treatment in your dryer on low for ten minutes. Retreating every 15-20 washes maintains optimal water resistance throughout the season.
